What is Shark Bone Alone?
What a wonderful question! I'm so glad you asked. Let me expound up on the purpose of this blog and let you take a peek behind the curtain of my mind!
I created Shark Bone Alone to have a dedicated place to talk about and post play records of my solo RPG sessions. Solo RPGs are not new, though you may or may not have heard of them before. In a typical tabletop role playing game, you sit around a table (whether physical or virtual) and play the game with other people, usually including one person who "runs" the game. In a solo game, you play it by yourself. Sometimes you take on the role of multiple characters, and the one who runs the game. Other times, you use tools of some kind to emulate someone running the game. It's all a matter of personal taste and preference.
I love to play solo RPGs. My interest in systems and games tends to bounce around and solo play is one of the easiest ways to indulge in all the games I want to play.
So, there you have it! My summary of solo RPG play, and the purpose of this blog. I hope you'll stick around and read it. I hope it inspires ideas. I hope you have fun!
